The Palo Alto Daily News issue of March 14th, 2008 reported the acquisition by POST (Peninsula Open Space Trust) of Mindego Hill as permanent open space.  This beautiful area is west of skyline above Palo Alto.  Purchase of this 1,047 acre property “known as the Bull Ranch, will allow residents to climb to the 2,143' summit".  
On the same day, in the same newspaper there was an article announcing that Portola State Park in San Mateo County  was selected as one of the 48 State Parks PROPOSED for closure because of the State budget deficit.  The painting shows real dollar bills floating aimlessly in the beautiful redwoods with Mindego Hill in the background.
